Details: Kristy is a 27-year-old ex-Melbournian. She grew up in Gippsland in regional Victoria, studied Professional Writing and Editing and freelances for fun. Her online writing adventures have taken her from town to town up and down the East Coast of Australia - Byron Bay in 2008 for Splendour in the Grass festival, in Sydney content managing for Coastalwatch.com in 2009, Surfing World magazine in 2010 & 11, Gold Coast for Surfrider Foundation as General Manager in 2011 & 12. She is now based in Sydney on the Northern Beaches, she works, she travels, she sees bands, she talks about herself in the third person, that sort of thing. She likes lots of things. Key things are cycling, ukuleles, the ocean and fitness. She is a total dork, doesn't party and loves koalas. She is a keen member of many ukulele collectives and a Friend of the Prom, Wilsons Promontory National Park in Australia. Her first board was and is a 6'8" mini-mal given to her by her uncle Len, who has shaped for many years. She still has it, along with a bright pink fish and a bunch of other boards that she doesn't use enough.
